I am finalizing my itinerary for next week’s Miami Rum Renaissance Festival. Looks like I’ll get to visit with the guys at South Florida Distillers, makers of FWAYGO rum, on the drive down. I also plan on stopping at a few great bars along the way.
My week as a Guest RumXP judge is packed with rum judging, rum presentations, and rum tastings. The schedule looks excellent culminating with the weekend festival and award announcements. I am also planning to hit some of Miami’s best bars during my evenings including a bus trip to the world famous Mai-Kai restaurant…woohoo!
If you haven’t been to the Miami Rum Festival I strongly encourage you to go. The tickets are quite reasonable and where else in the USA are you able to sample 100s of different rums in a single location? They have even added a VIP Tasting Bar to this year’s lineup where you can sample some of the world’s most exclusive rums. How cool is that?
