MiamiNewTimes.com reports that Miami Rum Club is on the brink of going national looking to break into the New York, California, and Nevada markets first.
Miami Club Rum currently produces a “platinum” rum aged in French oak and then filtered clear. Miami Club plans to introduce an añejo rum in the fall. Their Añejo is aged initally in American oaks and then transferred to 30-gallon bourbon barrels for a second ageing.
