Copper and cedar rum distilled from molasses. The copper and dark cedar hue invites you to sip this rum as soon as you pour it from the dark glass bottle. Distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2006, this is the oldest rum from the Antigua Distillery. Smoky wood is evident in the first breath of the aroma, followed by black cherry and currants. The initial taste doesn’t disappoint with more dry wood, caramelized dark fruit and roasted cashew in the body. The finish, although not as extended as some vintage rums, makes up for it with dominant smoky wood balanced with cinnamon and soft nutmeg tones.
