Chairman’s Reserve Rum was first blended in 1999 by the then Chairman of St. Lucia Distillers, Laurie Barnard. His philosophy on blending was revolutionary using not only various age statements and barrel types, but also distillates from both sugarcane juice and molasses, and from a variety of different stills. The Chairman’s Reserve Master’s Selection series explores some of those separate components before blending, and each barrel is chosen by expert palates in the rum industry.
